Vermiculite fire boards / bricks are specially manufactured from a group of hydrated laminar minerals silicates.
Vermiculite is a safe odourless inert material and copes with temperatures in excess of 1100 Deg C.
For all the above reasons, vermiculite is used in a handful of refactory process including:
*Wood burning stove insulation
*Barbeques
*Fireplace insulations
*Brazing heath processes
*Horticulture purposes
*Easily cut with the aid of a simple cutting tool e.g. hand or jig saw.

Vermiculite Fire Resistant Boards can be:
Sawn.
Drilled.
Sanded.
USES
Vermiculite Fire Boards can be used as:
A heat shield.
A register plate above a free standing stove.
Replacement fire bricks for the inside of a stove.
INSTALLATION
The edges of the board and the flue pipe can be sealed to the board using Heat Resistant Silicone up to 300C.
The board can be fixed to a wall by drilling and screwing.
For finish decoration we recommend spraying with Heat Resistant Spray Paint or you can tile with Heat Resistant Tile Adhesive.
